Man in the mirror is a really deep song. Its all about how Michael is facing his flaws and faults and he wants to break away his character. The song has a classic MJ funky keyboard bassline, flawless and soulful. I feel like the drums are repetitive. The sound of the snare is very unique, but it gets really annoying to me. The underlying backing vocals are also really nice.
The song really strikes home with me right now. What with my trying to grow up, graduate, whatever you want to call it. If my life was a movie, it would go on my soundtrack.
